Keeping outdoor recreation users safe

The members of NSP apply their hearts and minds every day to ensure the safety of those enjoying the outdoor mountain sports. The National Ski Patrol’s mission, “To help keep people safe on the mountain and during other outdoor activities,” requires a great amount of work to execute. Ski and mountain bike patrollers prepare the mountain and trails in the morning, provide rescue and care for guests during the day, and make sure everyone gets down the mountain safely at close. There is no cost to the injured guest and no cost to the ski area for these services.

There are several ways to donate to National Ski Patrol. Every dollar helps us further our mission and support our creed of “Service and Safety.”

Many corporations participate in volunteer grant programs, matching volunteer time per hour with funds for an organization. Ask your employer if you can earn money for National Ski Patrol through your volunteer work as a patroller. This means NSP can receive donations for volunteer work you are already doing! If you make a one-time or recurring donation, ask your employer to match your donation. Over half of Fortune 500 companies have donation matching programs.

Contributions to NSP in honor of a deceased patroller helps honor their legacy and further NSP’s impact, as well as attract new, devoted patrollers.

Minimum of $10,000 value; please contact Bill Finley, NSP finance director, at (303) 988-1111 x 2624, or email if you would like to contribute stock to NSP.
